As a manager for the Covid-19 Vaccination Programme, you have been asked to put together a business case to implement Robotic Process Automation/AI systems in order to bring efficiencies to the department. The business case should cover:
- A description of Robotic Process Automation, it’s benefits specifically within the NHS and healthcare services as well as it’s benefits for generic customer orientated businesses.
- A strategic analysis explaining why the idea for introducing Robotic Process Automation is feasible, linking to departmental or entity goals or objectives. The departmental goal is to vaccinate as many people as quickly and as safely as possible. The hospital values are ‘put patients first’, ‘take pride in what we do, ‘respect others’, ‘strive to be the best’, and ‘act with integrity’.
- A financial justification showing how the idea will achieve the desired effect with several critically analysed examples e.g., Robotic Process Automation/AI systems will reduce the need for human input saving on staffing costs, making the service accessible 24/7 etc.
- The key risk areas where financials are concerned.
- An explanation of how the risks, ethical and financial will be controlled and the performance managed.
- A Balanced Scorecard strategic review of the business plan/strategy.
You must critically research and apply in the report relevant academic theory and sources, course concepts and frameworks and industry material. The proposal must be fully referenced using the Harvard system.
