Think about a possible internship site that interests you as a Psychology major; a list of possible internship sites can be found in the document labeled “Psychology Internship Sites” that is located in the module along with these instructions. For your paper, choose a specific internship site, and imagine that you are going to start there soon (be sure to name what the site is and— very briefly—what it does.) Discuss at least three specific standards from the APA Ethics code that you feel will be most applicable to the kind of work and type of clients that you may encounter at this site, and explain why you think these standards will be useful and how they will impact your behavior at this internship. Concentrate on standards that will actually be relevant to the kind of work an Intern would do; for example, you would not be doing individual therapy, so standards that are specific only to therapists are not really good choices for this exercise. Be specific about which standards from the APA ethics code you are discussing. You may use 1st-person in your response.
General Information
Paper must be at least 3 pages in length—NOT including the title page or reference page—done in a commonly used 12-pt. font, like Times New Roman or Calibri, and double-spaced throughout. The paper must have a title page (cover page) and use APA format for the citations and reference page.
YOU MUST use the APA ethics code as a source; if you choose to use additional sources (including web resources), please cite them properly and list them on your reference page. The correct citation and reference (on the References page) for the code are as follows:
