Task:
There are a lot of issues to be looked at in the field of Employment and Labour Law. These include emerging and traditional issues, the latter of which can be said to be discriminatory. Many Caribbean countries do not possess discrimination law, notably discrimination law in relation to Labour and Employment Law. CARICOM has discrimination law modelled from the UK Laws as well as International Labour Organisation provisions (See www.ilo.org). With each new/emerging issue present in the place of work there is new legislation put in place to deal with the issue. We will explore these new age issues in Labour and Employment Law, but first we must examine the traditional issues that are still prevalent.
