Point: Your topic sentence should include the “Point of View” from your thesis as well as a lead-in to the image you will be discussing.
Information
You should include quotes to provide specific evidence of your argument. Begin with a short 1-2 sentence summary of the image you will be discussing. Then move into the key details, quotes, etc.
When writing a body paragraph, you should include details, specifics, from an image that you think are significant.
For quotes, you do not need to include entire sentences. You can pull out the most important components of the quote. Be sure to use quote sandwiches when introducing quotes.
You need to cite page numbers even when you are paraphrasing.
Explanation:
Your explanation of the evidence needs to show:
why the evidence is significant, how it contributes a special meaning
how the evidence is related to your argument
Essentially, your explanation includes analysis that states the importance of the INFORMATION in relationship to your argument.
