Create an MLA style document.
Just like in Baldwin’s essay, choose an extremely specific audience. He chose his nephew. You should choose a real person in your life. Make this clear at the beginning of your essay.
Write an essay that offers advice to this person. Help them succeed in life by telling them the truth about life. Your truth about life is subjective. This is appropriate. The advice you give can be about anything. Be creative and feel free to have fun with this.
Try to mimic the way Baldwin uses pathos and logos.
Requirements:
The document must be in MLA style and uploaded as .doc or .docx.
The specific word count is 500 to 1500 words, no more, no less.
Each student’s letter must refer to a specific person in their life.
No outside sources may be used. No works cited page is required.
