LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE
Each student is to complete a telephone interview with a nurse in a defined leadership position. It is expected that you will apply the leadership and management concepts learned in class. To successfully complete this assignment, you must plan ahead! Contact a nurse leader, (manager, director, or nurse executive) well in advance to schedule your time (plan for at least an hour). Provide to faculty, the name of the nurse leader, organization, date and time of your interview prior to the meeting. You will then send an email to the nurse leader confirming your scheduled appointment and cc the course faculty. Upon completion of this experience it is required to follow up with a formal business thank you letter or e-mail.
Below is a list of questions to include in your experience. Each question is to be addressed in your formal paper using 7th edition APA format. You may attach organizational information to your paper to clarify information. This experience is to be completed and the paper turned in through Blackboard drop box no later than the beginning of class as noted on course schedule.
