For example, how would you provide safe-quality nursing care using principles of Teamwork & Collaboration, or use the EBP nursing competency to help guide clinical practice? Provide examples with rationale. Use scholarly resources, such as QSEN, to cite your work here. Are there scholarly resources you used for your Nursing Competency PPT that are relevant to this question?
**Since this is a short paper, you may not have room to discuss all competencies. I recommend choosing a minimum of 3-4.

For this question, address the RNs responsibility and accountability for providing pt care including nursing interventions, treatment outcomes, and the changes that occur during the provision of care. ***Be sure to address each of these 3 components.
For example, what is your duty, responsibility and accountability to ensure safe-quality care while implementing nursing interventions and improving treatment outcomes? If treatment outcomes are not met, like we talked about for your care plans, what is your responsibility in making modifications? If there is a change in pt status / changes that occur during the provision of care, what is the responsibility and duty of the RN? What would you do and WHY? This was addressed in your Module 5 Assignment with Mrs. Smith. Provide details, examples and rationales to support your ideas.
3). Discuss how your learning in this course has helped your professional growth development.
In this course, each week we have focused on nursing competencies and associated behaviors to improve patient care and outcomes. Discuss what you have learned, and how you would apply & integrate that learning into your own professional development.
What have you learned that has increased your knowledge and/or confidence as you transition into your new role as an RN? For example, have you improved your critical thinking or clinical decision-making skills to prioritize pt care, how so? Provide examples and rationales. Have you gained new competencies to improve your own professional practice, if so, elaborate on this and provide examples. Although this is a reflection of your own growth, include citations to add substance and relevance, and to support your ideas.
4). Describe how you anticipate using the competencies from this course in your future clinical practice.
For this question, discuss how you anticipate using the nursing competencies as you transition from your current professional role to that of an RN. How will using nursing competencies impact your role as an RN? Again, reviewing the associated behaviors for the nursing competencies will be helpful.
For example, how will you use Leadership and Delegation as an RN? We have talked about using delegation to organize and manage pt workload, and that delegation optimizes pt care, provides more efficient and timely care, to improve pt outcomes. How will you use Leadership in your role as an RN, for example, being a change agent. How will you collaborate and work with the interprofessional team to improve safety and quality of care? Will you engage in QI to make positive changes within the healthcare system, how so? How will you utilize informatics to improve the safety/quality of care and improve pt outcomes? Provide examples and rationales to support you ideas.
