My name is Amanda Acosta. I work with Strides for Better Living Agency. I represent a few of my clients who will remain anonymous to protect their right to confidentiality. My clients all use the Better Transportation Company. Clients are scheduled for multiple visits on a weekly basis. Many of the patients who use BTC have been a no show or they have shown up late for their appointments.
I currently am working with a client that is having difficulty attending appointments due to unreliable transportation. The client is in dire need of the services my agency offers and has no other means to get to their appointments. The client is limited on financial means and has no other assistance to make it to these appointments. It is important that throughout the course of a client’s sessions that they attend regularly to have the best success rate.
Attending appointments regularly will help my clients eliminate other issues brought about by missing appointments with my agency. My client feels BTC is unreliable. The company has difficulties picking the client up. The company sometimes does not show up. There are also times where the company will drop the client off to the destination but fail to pick the client back up.
We must figure out a way to help my clients get to and from their apartment to their appointments efficiently. We need to work together to ensure the clients get to every session on time as scheduled. Their care depends on it. Their health depends on it.
