Strategic Corporate Conservation Planning Effort
Recognizing that conservation can be a strategic opportunity, use the following template to map out your planning process to formalize this within your firm. Make sure to start at the right scale dependent upon the size of your firm. To facilitate this planning effort, you might want to propose a specific conservation project.
Detailed descriptions of each of these elements are found in Chapter 4 of the text which is ‘The Process’ chapter. Make sure you review each of the elements to identify those most applicable to your firm and your proposed plan. Some or all of these elements should be used to create a strong plan using details from the course and what you’ve learned throughout the course.

Who is the audience for the survey?
What information is included in the survey?
The Assessment
PEST analysis of both external and internal landscape (incl. identification of stakeholders)
The Ultimate Stakeholder
Who is going to be changed by these efforts (internal/external)?
How are they ranked in relative importance?
How is the ultimate stakeholder aligned with the business driver?
The Success Story
What is the end state? Provide a specific statement (relate to ultimate stakeholder and business driver)
The Guiding Principles
These will guide decision-making for environmental stewardship projects.

Risk Assessment
Make sure to include the Risk Assessment Matrix (Table 4-3) in your response
Socialization
What are the elements of the socialization plan? Is a plan necessary in your firm?
How is socialization as a communication tactic to be used?
Metric Development
What are the metrics? Are these useful metrics developed with the guiding principles in mind?
Are these metrics accessible and affordable?
