SUBJECTIVE INTERPRETATION
Again using the SAME WORK OF ART, you will write a three-page subjective analysis and/or interpretation of the work of art. What does it MEAN, if anything? This essay will give you the opportunity to express how you feel about the work you have selected, or how you think it makes you feel, if you choose to. You can discuss other critic’s interpretation of the meaning. Do you agree or disagree, and why? What could you add to the understanding of the work of art through your own introspective consideration? Describe the qualities of the work that evoke emotion in you, or affect you somehow. Think about how the artist might have intended viewers to respond. Where they successful?
