Hello Class,
The Seventh-Day Adventists have a strong, surprising belief in Jesus Christ’s coming. They expected Christ to come on 22nd October 1844, according to the prophecy made by William Miller (Seventh Day Adventist, 2018). SDA members in New York State waited eagerly for the coming of Jesus. They hold a strong belief that Jesus would come at the start of the next millennium (Seventh Day Adventist, 2018). The belief pushes the Seventh-day Adventists to live righteous lives that obey God’s teachings. The leadership of the Seventh Day Adventists encourages its members to demonstrate high levels of humanity through service. Although the failure to fulfill the previous prophesies on the second coming of Jesus Christ, SDA members hold a strong belief (Seventh Day Adventist, 2018). Thus, the Seventh-Day Adventists consider the second coming of Jesus Christ is imminent, and they should have Godly lives.
