NBNS3603: Reflective Thinking and Writing |
SYNOPSIS:
Reflection is essential to help us develop our understanding of ourselves, our learning experiences, and responses to what we are learning. The process of writing forces us to deal with our ideas in a concrete form and undoubtedly leads us to a deeper examination of what we are thinking. It helps us to clarify our thoughts and identify gaps in our understanding. Written accounts particularly using reflective journals exemplify the progress and development of learning we experienced.
Question:
Explain Driscoll’s model of reflection. Reflect on a clinical situation of the busiest day in your unit that made you in a difficult situation to decide based on priorities in nursing practice using Driscoll’s model of reflection.
