Sean has been attending speech and language therapy services since he was 3.5 years. He attended early intervention services. a speech and language class, and public and private speech and language therapy services.  He is now discharged from Occupational therapy and psychology services. He is now in third class in his local primary school.

Targets for intervention:

Narrative development: both macro and microstructures

Sentence awareness: complete versus incomplete sentences, less v more information

Sentence formulation: using verbs, adverbs, adjectives, and conjunctions to create complete sentences with and without picture prompts

Tense awareness: past, present, and future

Feeling vocabulary: synonyms and antonyms and situations when feelings arise in general and personally

Standardized Assessment

When he was 7 years he had a full reassessment by the speech and language therapist before leaving the speech and language class.   He made excellent progress in the area of expressive language.  He can successfully communicate his messages to the listener.
