Wk 3 – Summative Assessment: Youth Treatment Plan and Interventions

As a marriage and family therapist, you will be creating treatment plans and designing interventions to use with the youth you treat.
Create a treatment plan for the youth from your Case Scenarios from Week 2.
Identify 1 family system model and 1 non-systems model that can be applied to your client case from Week 2.
Write a 825 to 1,700-word treatment plan describing the theoretical orientation of the models and how you plan to use them with your client case.
Include the following in your treatment plan:
Basic concepts of each model and how you would use these with your client case
A detailed descriiption of intervention strategies used within each model and any possible obstacles you foresee with your client
The family system approach to addressing and treating behavioral problems and/or learning disabilities
Identification of behavioral and other non-systemic interventions that could be used with your client
Cultural considerations or limitations with each model based on your client’s needs
How culture will influence the therapeutic involvement and engagement of parents in your intervention strategies
Format your treatment plan consistent with APA guidelines.
