For this assignment, your group will be:
Conducting a focused, streamlined search for evidence to answer your PICOT question,
Writing a narrative about the search,
Creating a table of your search results, and
Creating a graphical representation of the search process via a PRISMA flow diagram
To complete your search, you will need to first identify your search strategy:
Databases for conducting your search
Search Terms/Keywords (based upon the P, I, and O of your PICOT question. If you are comparing two interventions, you will also include keywords related to your C)
Inclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria
Then, you will need to consider the overall results of the search. How many total articles were identified and what was the process of narrowing the results down to the applicable studies (the screening process, determination of eligibility, reasons for initial exclusion and exclusion after screening)?
Lastly, you need to determine which of the results are sources that directly address your PICOT question.
You will document this information in the form of a written narrative, a PRISMA flow diagram, a literature search table, and list of APA references for the studies you found (all sections included on the worksheet).
