Definition of Inclusion and Integration: Special Needs Assistant, Assignment, OC, Ireland

In this project the learners are required to demonstrate their understanding and knowledge of the importance of Inclusion and Integration in education and the role the SNA can play in developing an inclusive classroom environment. The project is in two parts.

Part 1: Definition of Inclusion and Integration 

Inclusion

• Define the concept of Inclusion and why it is important.
• What are the benefits and challenges of Inclusion?
• Examine and discuss the different approaches to Inclusion.

Integration

• Define the concept of Integration and why it is important.
• What are the benefits and challenges of Integration?
• Examine and discuss the different approaches of Integration.
