This assignment is an individual coursework report that will assess learning outcomes LO1, LO2, LO3, LO4 and LO5. You are required to explore programme management; you are expected to select a case study topic with an important theme relating to programme management within any industry or organisation of your choice. With reference to appropriate academic theory and established programme management practice, you will be required to explore the case study within your selected industry or organisation, acting as a consultant in line with programme management and its benefit realisation.
Assessment Topic Background
Project and programme management have been helpful over the years in achieving companies’ strategic objectives. It is thus vital to understand the rudiments of project and programme management and how this could be applicable in various organisations. For instance, efficient project management is a primary mechanism for increasing productivity in multiple sectors, including the construction industry [1]. It has also been established that programme management has been used to support open innovations and problem-solving within many organisations [2], including Health and Social Care, Construction, Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Hospitality, etc. An in-depth knowledge and understanding of project and programme management could help deliver strategic change and transformation to these organisations. This assignment is expected to develop your knowledge of applying project and programme management to continuous improvement within various organisations. The assignment will open your eyes to the exploration of Project management and programme management in achieving strategic objectives, continuous improvement and the success of enterprises and organisations.
