What am I required to do in this assignment? It has been suggested that UK’s accession to the European Union had enabled a transfer of law-making powers from the UK Parliament to the European Union. The power of the European Union to make law that is automatically enforced in the Union’s member states was a hot topic among UK lawyers, judges and politicians, who became fascinated with the changing nature of parliamentary sovereignty. On 31 January 2020, 11:00 pm, the UK left the European Union. In a report of 3,000 words, consider the following questions: What is parliamentary sovereignty and what is the precise role of Parliament?
