Consider the group that one of your peers identified and comment on their observations.
Organize your work in at least 2 paragraphs. Each paragraph should have at least 3 sentences (not direct quotations from scholarly sources).
Generate thoughtful comments and observations that provoke discussion. The discussions are not casual email or texting.
You may:
Agree with the peer and then summarize what the peer said in your own words;
Develop a critical thinking question that requires further discussion, elaboration, or refinement;
Answer a question the peer posted in the original discussion post;
Take the discussion to another level or introduce a counterpoint;
Disagree (tactfully) by providing specific scholarly evidence;
Synthesize two or more previous posts, providing new insight to the topic or concept;
Or acknowledge how the evidence provided caused you to rethink a position previously held, or to become more strongly committed to your position.
Make sure to use at least 2 scholarly sources that are less than 5 years old in addition to the sources provided in the module. References and citations should follow the 7th edition of APA guidelines.
Do not duplicate scholarly sources used in the initial post.
Use paraphrases more than direct quotations to show your understanding of the work that you are using to support your viewpoints.
To obtain maximum points, the content of discussion postings must be well written, organized, and have the required content. Closely follow the assignment instructions under Module 5 and the discussion grading rubric. Contact me with questions or concerns.
