Research Proposal and questions on how to
Provide Career Technical Education or STEM training project based curriculum to teachers and developing Green Energy education curriculum with funding opportunities in K1-12 schools with career pathways for teachers.
Follow instructions below for the template include preliminary survey samples to share on how to gather data and where to seek such data.
RESEARCH PROPOSAL PRESENTATION– TO BE PRESENTED IN CLASS ON MAY 3 OR MAY 10, 2021
As a culmination of this seminar, please prepare a 10-minute Power Point presentation (10 – 12 slides or less) and address the following:
Introduction.
Problem statement (focus area)
Significance of the problem
Purpose of the study
Research questions and sub-questions (if you have sub-questions)
Method. What data collection, management, analysis and interpretation methods did you propose? E.g., Case Study, Phenomenological Study, Ethnography, etc.
Provide a brief description. (For example, one could propose an ethnographic study of primary grade teachers who taught English and English Language Learners online during the pandemic. In this case, I would use grounded theory for analysis.)
Setting/Sample and Sampling Procedures. Provide
information that conveys the context of your research, including relevant demographic information, any pertinent background or history of the
educational setting and any relevant details about the organization (including administrative structure) or
classroom cultural climate.
Entry. How will you gain entry to the research setting, and/or the participants?
Conceptual Framework. Include and explain the visual depiction of the conceptual framework for your study. Please explain it to the class.
Literature Review. Please tell which research articles you will review for the proposal. Please include the title and a 1-2 sentence description. (5 articles which most of you have already included in the cumulative assignments, especially under Conceptual Framework.
Analysis, Findings and Conclusions How will you address key concepts, categories, or themes that emerge from the data? How might the findings relate to the study’s conceptual framework? For example, are you going to use grounded theory? How will you go about coding your data? (some of you have put together matrices with possible themes and categories)
Reflections. What did you learn about qualitative field research methods from completing your research proposal?
