Consider what kind of funeral you would want, make sure to take into consideration your full range of options. These include traditional funerals and means of disposing of the body like burial and cremation as well as unorthodox means like being placed in fireworks and shot off into the universe.
Get information and prices lists from funeral homes to plan your own funerals—if necessary go to a funeral home and talk to a director. Provide all the details your family would need to be able to fulfill all your wishes. Be aware that this ritual is to help survivors with their own grief work, so you would want to consult with your family to see how this plan could be helpful to them. In a Word Document write about the following:
Lay out your funeral plan in as much detail as possible, including, costs, timing, pre and post events, music (if applicable), etc.
Write a summary of how you felt about the data you gathered and the process.
Using the text as support, write two paragraphs about how your particular plans meet particular psychosocial needs. This means you must cite the book. If you feel comfortable doing so, talk to people in your family about what your plans are and see if they agree or disagree with your plans. This essay is worth up to 20 points [see Grading Rubric for details on point distribution.
