You are to design and construct a climate responsive facade for your face. Just like a building facade considerations must be made for
allowing for adequate access to light and views while still maintaining occupant comfort.
Each climate region will be represented across the class with selection of climate regions opening Friday, April 23 until Sunday, April
25. Availability will be on a first come first served basis.
For the purposes of design, you are to assume you are mostly SOUTH facing, but you may incorporate facade components that can be
adjusted to other orientations.
• You must incorporate a minimum of three and no more than four strategies that will help your face be more comfortable in the climate
region you have selected.
• At least one of the strategies must be from the building parts/building elements readings and lectures. Additional strategies may
incorporate strategies reviewed in lectures, biomimicry, regional vernacular strategies, or other concepts arrived at through your
own research.
