Grammatical : Attribute Coding, Magnitude Coding, Subcoding, Simultaneous Coding Elemental: Structural Coding, Descriptive Coding, InVivo Coding( Qualitative Software), Process Coding , Initial Coding, Concept Coding <- Structural and Descriptive are the main coding themes in this course. Affective: Emotion Coding, Values Coding, Versus Coding, Evaluation Coding Literary and Language: Dramaturgical Coding, Motif Coding, Verbal Exchange Coding Exploratory: Holistic Coding, Provisional Coding, Hypothesis Coding Procedural: Protocol Coding, OCM (Outline of Cultural Materials) Coding, Domain and Taxonomic Coding, Causation Coding Themeing the Data: Theme is a description of behavior and explains what is happening is an observation or interview. This is directly observable behavior. Demonstrate an example of coding that you would like to implement for one category of coding . Describe and explain if in your opinion the strategy to coding in an interview would differ from an observation to determine consumer needs for health information and technology use.
