Section 1: Sustainability projects preparation
Complete this section in relation to both ICT projects.
ICT projects
Outline the business’ plans in relation to ICT projects into which sustainability can be integrated.
Explain why these ICT projects present an opportunity to integrate sustainability.
You must answer the questions above in relation to at least two ICT projects.
Research
Conduct research on the latest market/technology trends as relevant to sustainability in ICT and particularly around sustainability options in relation to the specific ICT projects.
Document the results of your research here, ensuring you address the following:
· the benefits of incorporating sustainability for ICT projects – outline at least four benefits
· sustainability options as relevant to the ICT projects and as per current market/ technology trends. List at least two sources of information you drew on (these can be website links).
· The extent to which sustainability can be integrated into the ICT projects.
Remember that you will need to discuss these findings with others in Activity 2.4.
Technology solutions
For the ICT projects in question, describe your recommended solutions for each project. Be specific i.e. if the project is an equipment upgrade, include the details of the recommended equipment and costs. This could be a link to a vendor website for example.

Conduct your power consumption audit of at least five equipment items.

Section 2: Sustainability strategies and integration
Complete this section in relation to both ICT projects.
Implementation Plan
Develop an implementation plan for each ICT project. The implementation plan is to implement the technology solution you have identified and must address approving solutions, purchasing relevant equipment, training staff and ongoing monitoring.
Use the implementation plan template to develop your plans.
List the name of the plans here and attach them to your Portfolio.
Report – ICT Project 1
You are to provide a report here for ICT Project 1. This will be based on the technology solution you identified in your Project Portfolio Section 1.
Your report should address:
· Energy usage of the proposed ICT solution
· Potential energy savings and payback periods (confirming that power consumption will be reduced)
· Estimation of the carbon dioxide emissions associated with the project and comparison against industry benchmarks
· Whether this ICT project as opposed to the other ICT project is the priority and why
· An estimation of implementation costs i.e. total costs of the technology solutions as you identified in your Portfolio Section 1.
Report – ICT Project 2
You are to provide a report here for ICT Project 1. This will be based on the technology solution you identified in your Project Portfolio Section 1.
Your report should address:

· KPIs that are to be used to measure sustainability performance.
