Week 7 Assignment #2 Run-on Sentences
For Week 7 Assignment #2, you will complete a run-on sentence exercise. Please correctly punctuate the sentences on the attached document. In some cases, you might need to rewrite the sentence or sentences. Remember to capitalize if you separate sentences to create a new sentence. As a student who writes compositions, you need to learn to write sentences with correct punctuation to avoid sentences running into each other. If you use run-on sentences, your instructors will give your composition a very low grade or no grade.

Week 7 Assignment #3 Essay Comparison and Contrast
For week 7 assignment #3, you will write a three-paragraph essay. It is a compare and contrast essay.
Compare and contrast the characteristics of someone you know with your own characteristics. How are both of you similar? How are you different? You can chose a family member, a neighbor, or a friend.
Attached is a sample essay where I compare and contrast some of my sister’s qualities with my own qualities. Notice that my introductory paragraph informs the reader about three qualities I will compare and contrast. The body of the essay (second paragraph) goes into more detail. The third paragraph, which is the conclusion, repeats the first paragraph, but it is using different wording. Remember to also just submit the compare and contrast introductory paragraph as assignment #1 for this week. If you do not submit the introductory paragraph for Assignment #1, Black Board will count it as not submitted and it will be a “0.”
The second attached document is a blank document that you can use to write your essay.
Essays are not difficult. It takes practice. I am starting with a three-paragraph essay to facilitate the process of developing an essay. The three-paragraph essay will eventually be a five-paragraph essay.
When you finish your essay assignment, please upload as a Word Document on this assignment file.
