This project is the coursework for a module titled ‘Mental Health in the Community’. It is a foundational module for an MSc ‘Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health’. I have attached the module handbook so you have an overview of the course content. I have also included the three papers that are part of our ‘core’ reading for the relevant week, (to save you some time with source-location). If you know of or find any further sources that are relevant then that is great too. There is actually also an additional paper that I can’t add as an attachment (think I’ve hit the limit) but it’s called ‘Schizophrenia: a critical psychiatry perspective’, I have the full paper and can send this separately? But all the core reading is included in the attached Module Handbook and I can send a list of the ‘Optional Reading’ list too. We have a choice of three questions and I have selected the first question as it is the topic that interests me the most and so I will be better able to make any adjustments to your work, if need be. I have also included the coursework guidance/marking scheme we have been provided with. For this coursework, I am requested to write an essay, which is worth 70% of my overall module mark. The word limit is 1500 words + 10%, that is, 1650 words. The penalty for exceeding this limit is a deduction of 5 marks, and words beyond this will not be considered.
