Systems thinking

Systems thinking is a competency needed in today’s information-based and complex world. Just as objects interact during physics experiments, people interact in the lab setting, too.

Hieronymi maps the integration of five system categories with five knowledge dimensions as an approach to systems thinking in science. Within that integration, he proposes 11 hierarchical systems characteristics to guide the evaluation of the system.

In this assignment, you will describe an instructional setting as a system, and utilize Hieronymi’s 11 hierarchical systems characteristics to evaluate the function of the instructional setting system.
