The goal presentation is to identify the current state of the school/district, identify needs, and
plan to move forward in achieving an effective and purposeful model of continuous improvement and
collaboration for a shared vision.

1. What stands out in the data? What “need to know” questions does it raise with respect to:
o Student learning
o Trends over time (to the extent possible you can discern from the data presented)
o Issues with subgroups that lead to questions about equity
o Data on teachers, classrooms, budgets, etc.
2. In what areas are students doing well? Are there areas where subgroups of students are not performing
well?
3. Identify one particular area in need improvement as compared with another school in the same peer group.
Offer evidence about the need for improvement in this area and one possible strategy to assist with
improvement.
4. Are there subgroups that are not doing well that lead to questions of equity?
