To prime our discussions and show each other that we’ve done (and thought about) the reading before arriving, I hope that we come to each class with questions and comments about any assigned materials. We needn’t have the answers to these questions. They can be about something that was confusing, or something of particular interest that we’ve noticed. Some of the most helpful questions relate the assigned reading to other parts of our class discussion, or to outside experiences and original examples. To build upon and deepen this reflection, submit short (1-2 page single space) illustrative reaction papers over the course of the semester.
