Wang Shiaoming is a student in your fifth-grade Dual Language (English/Mandarin) class. He came to the US four years ago, but this is his second year in your program. He continues to struggle with learning English, and also shows a need for organization in class. There is no one to help him with schoolwork at home.
Yesterday, Shioaming’s mother met with you. She wanted her son put back into a monolingual class so he can expediate learning English; she also requested that he be evaluated to get extra help such as a one-on-one setting or in a small group.
