For part one of this assignment, you will research and gather information on a Hot Topic or Identity of your choice that centers around areas of diversity and social justice. Consider referring to your list of 5 social justice topics you submitted during week 2 of the semester. As a reminder, examples of social justice topics are natural hair in the workplace, deaf culture in hearing environments, toxic masculinity, police brutality, and differences in physical ability in the workplace.
Submit a 2 page handout/brochure (nothing more/nothing less) with pertinent information about your topic. This handout should have key points and information to share with members, and can include bullet points, pictures, graphs, charts, discussion questions, terms, etc. Please be creative!
Submit a 3-page elaboration on your handout. Include in-text citations and a reference list. Everything you include in your brochure should be cited and elaborated on in the 3-page paper. Papers should be double spaced, time new roman font, 12 point. Think of this as a written presentation. In other words, if you were explaining your worksheet in a 10 minute presentation, I want you to write what you would say during this presentation. This assignment (handout and explanation) will be shared with 3 of your classmates for them to read, learn more about your topic, and answer questions about your topic in Part 2 of this assignment.
