Which graphical chart would you choose to use? Explain the reason for the selection of this graphical chart. Construct the chart and describe what you can observe. 5 marks (b) Which graphical technique or chart should be used if the researcher is interested in describing the proportion of one categorical variable in your data? Explain the reason for the selection of this graphical chart. Construct the chart and describe what you can observe about the proportion. 5 Marks [The graphs should include titles and axis labels] QUESTION 2 [6 marks] A researcher wishes to use a frequency histogram to display the data. (a) Consider one column with a numerical variable in your dataset. The researcher then suggests using 7 classes to construct a histogram for this variable. Explain how the researcher would have decided on the number of classes as 7. 1 mark (b) The researcher suggests using 7 classes for the numerical variable selected in part a). Explain how the researcher would have calculated the class width. 1 mark (c) Using Excel construct a histogram for this variable using appropriate BIN values from part (b) and comment on the shape of the distribution. 4 Marks [The graph should include titles and axis labels] QUESTION 3 [4 marks] The researcher wishes to use numerical descriptive measures to summarise the data. Using Excel obtain descriptive statistics output for one variable in your data set. 1MarkPrepare a numerical summary report by including summary measures such as mean, median, range, variance, standard deviation, smallest and largest values and the three quartiles, for each variable. 2 marks Comment on the descriptive statistics. 1 mark QUESTION 4 [5 marks] Write a short statistical report.
