Project – Engineering Design with SolidWorksYou are required to design a product with ≥4 components.Requirements:For a non-standard part, i.e., the one not in the Design Library of SolidWorks, the SolidWorks partmodel should be created.The whole product should be modeled as a SolidWorks assembly, which is composed ofSolidWorks parts (standard and non-standard) and sub-assemblies.You need to create a working drawing for the product assembly. To present your design (orassembly) clearly, in addition to the three 3rd-angle projection views, you need to insert at least oneof the following other views: auxiliary views, section views, broken out views, partial views,removed views, and detail views. A balloon with a part ID number is required to label eachpart on the assembly working drawing. A bill of materials is required for the assemblyworking drawing. The key dimensions and tolerances should also be given in the assemblyworking drawing.For each of non-standard part, you need to create the SolidWorks models and their 2-D drawings.Insert the necessary views in order to clearly present the designs of these parts. All dimensions andnecessary tolerances should be given in the 2-D drawings. A title block with the necessaryinformation is required for each 2-D drawing. If the number of parts of your product is more than 4which is the minimum number of parts required by this project, you can select the major parts tocreate the 2-D drawings and print out the isometric views with all the hidden lines of the rest of theparts that are not selected for creating the 2-D drawings.You are encouraged to use advanced functions of the SolidWorks, such as complex curves andsurfaces, constraints, visualization functions, etc., to model your parts, assemblies, and drawings.Zip all the SolidWorks files together at the end.What you are required to design:– An F1 Model CarParts:The tires The Steering wheelThe body (excluding the tires) The seat of the carYou will model these 4 parts and create an assembly that combines these four parts. Feel free to useother images on the internet to refer to these parts, the images provided are just for reference. Pleasemake sure you have read the first page of this document THOROUGHLY, and know exactly what isneeded. I have provided the titleblock template which you will put on top of the drawings.
