PowerPoint presentation should be between 5-10 slides (some topics have more information)
Resources can include textbooks, e-texts, professional journals, websites and must be reliable and legitimate sources using current, evidence-based information (No Dr. Oz, Dr. Axe, WebMD, etc).
PowerPoint slides must address the following:
Introduce assigned topic including condition, prevalence, and etiology.
Include over/under consumption, treatment, populations affected and any interesting history as it relates to topic.
Describe oral implications.
Discuss Recommended Dietary Allowances related to deficiency.
Define nutritional directions including food sources.
Present any dental hygiene interventions or recommendations.
Presentation should include photos, graphs, tables, where applicable.
