Trump’s Wall
For those interested in getting rid of human trafficking and for those who want to increase the safety of all humans, especially that of children. Say goodbye to the current open border polices and yes to the border wall also known as Trump’s wall.
Drug and human trafficking have been a problem that the United States has battled with for centuries. Currently, the American Government has an open border policy, thus allowing the overflow of illegal immigrants. These open border policies encourage people to put their lives and the lives of their children at risk, the “Biden administration is not turning away unaccompanied minors, and border agents are making exceptions for some families”. The previous administration, under President Trump issued multiple statements indicating that since the beginning of the border wall there was a decrease of human trafficking, drug smuggling and violent border crimes. People who are in support view the wall as a safety mechanism for all humans, especially that of all innocent children and women who are being used to smuggle drugs across the border and because its security has helped keep Americans who live and work near the border safe.
Trump’s border wall is seen as a waste of taxpayer’s money, 6 out of 10 American’s do not favor the border wall, and some politicians have called it “immoral”. The belief is that migrants can always find other routes to crossing the border and that they are better ways for our government to discourage and stop illegal entry to the United States. The Biden administration plans to “boost refugee admissions, preserving deportation relief for unauthorized immigrants who come to the U.S as children and not enforcing the “public charge” rule that denies green cards to immigrants who might use public benefits like Medicaid”. Illegal entry to the United States will be ceased and or significantly decreased by the current administration by increasing the number visas granted for Family-based Immigration, Refugee admissions, Employment-based green cards, Diversity visas, H-1B visas, Temporary permissions, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals and Temporary protected status as planned.
The decrease of illegal border crossing by migrants will decrease by increasing the number of visas granted to migrants. American’s and the Biden administration support the legal entry of any migrant.
