This is for an upper-level strategic management course and is a strategic management recommendation in order to help/save Macy’s from “dying out”. This particular recommendation is focused on moving mainly towards e-commerce. In-text citations are not actually needed but it would help me personally if they were included. I have provided the rest of the paper so that there is a background and it also has the other recommendations. There are also instructions. We are writing this on Google Docs which one page on there is shorter than one page on Word. The next recommendation is the marketing plan which will involve changing the target market so that can’t be included in this one. This could probably include the supply chain of moving to mainly e-commerce because “shifts need to change if we are moving online” (with a few brick and mortar stores).
Some notes the professor gave us on this section are “Moving online is important and on the right track but how do we get the customers there, how do we increase awareness? What’s the differentiator?” “What is our vision: for the website, the future, etc” “Where do we position ourselves in the market? What’s our differentiator? Widely accessible dept store brand isn’t ideal anymore.”
