This announcement will address questions that students have about the exam. It will be updated periodically as/if new questions arise. Check it every day or two.
Cutting and Pasting and Formulae
You MAY NOT cut and paste from existing third party sources including:
- the text,
- the unit notes,
- tutorial exercises,
- internet,
- joint study notes
- any other person’s work
- etc
You MAY cut and paste from materials that you have created before or during the exam, including:
- your own private (not shared) study notes,
- other software during the exam. For example, if you create a formula or table or diagram using Excel or PowerPoint during the exam, you can cut and paste into your exam document.
Calculations (such as mean or standard deviation)
Acceptable working in the exam:
- Quote formula and use calculator OR
- Quote and use excel functions such as Average(), Stdev.S() etc OR
- Cut and paste output of descriptive stats analysis tools add-in
Any of these would be ok.
