Leaders and Coaches

How can we be leaders and learn to coach others in our work environment? In our church environment?

Training and Development – Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah by Dr. Carol Kurkowski
Often times when faced with uncertain situations, we respond to God that we cannot do a certain task because we feel we are not equipped to do the task. In
reality, it takes the surrender of your heart and personal will to allow God to use you–He will equip you for what He has called you to do. If you look at several
characters in the Bible, they felt inadequate, but God used them for His purpose. Today let’s look at an unlikely group of teenagers that were certainly not
ready for the task they were thrown into. You may know them by other names.
Daniel 1:6-7 (New International Version): 6 Among those who were chosen were some from Judah: Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah. 7 The chief official
gave them new names: to Daniel, the name Belteshazzar; to Hananiah, Shadrach; to Mishael, Meshach; and to Azariah, Abednego (NIV).
Now you know that I am talking about Belteshazzar, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego; but let’s call them by their real names: Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and
Azariah. They were exiled from their homes and thrown into a new lifestyle to be “trained” up in the Babylonian way of life. The most amazing thing is that
their foundation was with the Lord, so their training started with God’s Word. They were able to follow God even with new indoctrination. The four teenagers
were asked to eat foods that they disagreed with, God helped in the situation by causing the chief official to show favor to them
