The research topics are found below and they are articles associated with topics found in the New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com/roomfordebate). These topics include pro and con positions on a particular topic. You can only use the topics listed below, and you can only use the articles associated with the topics listed below (a mistake on this will result in a ZERO). You will follow the MLA guidelines for writing a research paper. Remember, if words and ideas are not your words and ideas, you must cite which article you found the words and ides (a mistake on this will result in a ZERO). Your paper should have no fewer than 1100 words.
Your introductory paragraph should have no fewer than 5 sentences and the last sentence should be the thesis statement. Each body paragraph should have no fewer than 5 sentences, start with a topic sentence, address one topic, contain a quote from one of the articles found in one of the research topics listed below (including in-text citations), and include transitions. The concluding paragraph should be no fewer than 5 sentences long, and it should summarize the main points of your argument.
Your paper will have a “Works Cited” page with at least three different sources found in the research topic you selected. Make sure that your paper does not contain 2nd person pronouns, 1st person pronouns, contractions, and unsupported ideas or comments. You will type your paper in Microsoft Word. DO NOT BE LATE SUBMITTING THIS ASSIGNMENT; I do not accept late research papers.
