DEV-5063, Development Policy Instructions for Article Critique Assignment Description: In this article critique exercise, you are asked to choose an article of your choice on development policy in any developing societies. The article critique should be 4- 5 pages in length. You are expected to critique the chosen article by summarizing the key points and arguments in the article and assess among other things its strengths and weaknesses. The chosen article must be from a peer reviewed journal and at least 10 pages long. Purpose: This exercise will help you to analyze articles and get the most out of them. This is particularly important in the review of literature for the final paper for this class. Article critique outline: The article critique will consist of the following sections: (1) A title of the article, (2) an abstract that summarizes the purpose of the article, the specific problem of economic development that the article centers on, (3) what literature was used and how relevant references are to the subject of the article in question, (4) what research design and procedures were used, (5) how the data used in the article was analyzed and presented, and, finally, (6) the conclusion and implication of the study. Each of these areas and what they specifically require is presented in the assignment rubric matrix.
