Comparison Essay
( Words 1100-1500)
Comparison essay should follow the conventions of a formal essay and include the following: an introduction w/ thesis statement, 2 or more body paragraphs, conclusion and reference page). Essay does not require additional research. Should contain quotations from the texts as evidence.
Essay can look at similarities (ie. what do two characters have in common?); it can look at differences (ie. how do the stories address the theme/idea differently?); or it can look at some combination of both similarities and differences.
