Primary Research Question
Did attendance at a NexGen promotional event by residents of the Portage County campus of Happy Valley, Inc. lead to an increased risk of acute HBV infection within the six months that followed?
Primary Hypothesis Set
Null hypothesis (H0): There is no difference in the six-month incidence rates of acute HBV infection between residents of the Portage County campus who did and did not attend the NexGen event.
Alternative hypothesis (H1): There is a difference in the six-month incidence rates of acute HBV infection between residents of the Portage County campus who did and did not attend the NexGen event.
Primary Objective
The objective was to find out whether there is a relationship between the attendance at the promotional event by NexGen and successive acute HBV development in Portage County Campus residents.
Study Population
The study population comprised the people who resided at the Portage County campus of Happy Valley and excluded those who lived at the Summit County neighbor campus of Happy Valley.
Primary Exposure Variable
Exposure to NexGen’s SugarChack glucometer is the primary variable. The leaders wanted to prove that the difference in outcomes between Summit County neighbor campus and Portage County campus results from exposure and not negligence (Burgess & Labrecque, 2018).
Primary Disease Variable
The primary disease variable studied is hepatitis B virus (HBV) and the survival rates due to the hepatitis B virus (HBV). The organization has been accused of negligence. Data has shown that people in the Portage County campus had a lower five-year survival rate and increased mortality compared to the Summit County neighbor campus. Study Timeline

The analytical data for the analysis is collected from administrative records of 252 people who reside at the Portage County campus of Happy Valley for demographic information.
