Grading Policy
A statistical table of the U.S. and the top 10 most cases states. Use “other” to indicate the sum of the rest states. Calculate the total confirmed cases for each season. Each row is a state, each column is a quarter of the year, 2020/04 – 2020/06, 2020/07 – 2020/09, 2020/10 – 2020/12, 2021/01 – 2021/03, 2021/04 – 2021/06, and 2021/07 – 2021/09. (20%)
Use line charts to show the U.S. national cumulated and daily cases/death/death rate. (20%)
Use line charts to show the cumulated and daily cases and death rate, form comparisons among at least 6 states (30%)
Use a series of pie charts to show the proportion of states at 2020-03-30, 2020-06-30, 2020-09-30, 2020-12-30, 2021-03-30, 2021-06-30, and 2021-09-30. (20%)
Description and reasoning (10%)
You could import other data and form other analyses to earn the extra credits. E.g. a regression model of the curve of the confirmed case, the comparison over blue and red states in the 2020 election, a worldwide comparison among countries, and so on.
Or, if your reasoning is good and the format of the report is well-organized, I will also give you extra credits.
