Introduction If there is a social phenomenon that has changed the habits

Introduction

If there is a social phenomenon that has changed the habits of our societies during the last decades, it is that ofa digital revolution. Digital technology has profoundly changed the ways of producing, exchanging, consuming, and even buy many societies in the image of the ivorian society. Today, Côte d’ivoire, buying and selling online has become a medium of exchange current in the practices of many households.

For most businesses and households ivorians, the Internet has become a channel of communication and sales must. In tourism, for example, no hotel can go to TripAdvisor or Booking.com. It is also difficult for a consumer of côte d’ivoire to escape the ecosystem services of Google, Facebook or Apple to communicate, entertain, search for information or to order products. The economy as a whole seems to now be converted to ” digital “.

Despite these advances and changes quite important in our societies, which facilitate the daily life of many households, a frank of the population seems to have reservations vis-à-vis these new practices. This leads us to formulate the following theme : ” the digital economy to the test of the perceptions of some of the ivorian people “.

Relevance of the topic

The interest of this study lies in the research of the well-being of our societies and improving the lives of people of côte d’ivoire in particular. In addition, the thematic focus of the digital economy is of great interest in this sense, it highlights several disciplines including economics and sociology.

Researchers in the humanities and social sciences have an important role to play to better understand these ongoing transformations, to analyze and measure the socio-economic effects of technologies, services, and digital customs and comprendre reserves of some populations of the ivorys.

Potential literature

Several works have already addressed the issue of the digital economy from several perspectives, including sociological circumstances and statistics of the phenomenon. For example, ofyears the article ” The cyber threat to the development, scams Internet in Côte d’ivoire ” Jean-Jacques Bogui address the issue of harmful effects of internet stating that the development and spread of the internet in ivorian society has brought the birth of a new phenomenon, including the phenomenon of cyber-criminal (children grazers).

In fact, according to the author, in spite of the good health of the economy related to information technology and communication, the development of the use of the Internet creates many threats to the economic image of the country and its image to the outside world. Indeed, at the beginning of the year 2008, Internet service providers (ISP) have found that the number of junk e-mail (or spam), the objective of which is to defraud the recipient, proportions too important. Before the proliferation of these e-mails scattered from the Ivory Coast, for many african countries called on the ivorian authorities in order that measures be taken to halt or failure to control the phenomenon. The non-resolution of this issue could result in the lack of trust of some people in the face with the use of the digital economy.

Moreover, in anarticle supplementaryé ” digital economy : definition, challenges and prospects “, in M Ndiaye Mbaye, writes that the’economy digital has challenged and transformed in depth the process of production, distribution, sale and consumption of goods and services.

According to the author, the immediate result is the radical reform in the ways of life and communication, professional practice, the consumption habits of the states and their citizens. This “new economy” demands of economic actors (states, companies and other users) a new way of “doing business, and create value” for which the Internet and its tools and services are both the vector and the symbol.

Research Questions

This desire to understand the perceptions of some populations vis-à-vis the digital economy leads us to ask the following questions :

The lack of confidence of some populations vis-à-vis the digital economy is not related to the phenomenon of the online scam, children grazers in our societies ?

The non-mastery of it tools as well as applications of online payments only are they not at the origin ofs reservations expressed by certain populations ?

The habits and practices of certain populations could not justify thee non-use of the tools of the digital economy ?

Methods

In the framework of our research, we will use several tools of investigation, including :

the literature review ;

the questionnaire

the maintenance guide.

Schedule

Our study is expected to be carried oute in three years. Thus, the first year will be devoted to the analysis of the observations we have made from the review of the literature, in connection with our subject. La second year will be devoted to the development of data collection tools and their administration, in order to collect the information from our target population.

Finally, in the third year, we attèlerons to analyze the data collected from our target population and to the drafting of our research project.
