You will work on the following paradoxe
– Base Rate Fallacy (false positives, blue cab problem)
Instructions
Please submit a 2-page report that answers the following questions. The report must have neat and well organized in-text citations and a works-cited list at the end. You can use MLA format or another format if you wish.
a. Define the paradox. Try to explain it intuitively and mathematically.
b. Give an example of the paradox. This example can be in the research you find.
c. Here I want you to discuss how knowledge of this paradox help you to think critically when you see and read claims and statistics in the real world (e.g., in the news, research, etc.)
