You are to complete and submit this assignment individually. Please submit your assignment using the template included below. All submissions must be Microsoft Word documents and formatted with 1-inch margins, double-spacing, and 12pt Times New Roman font. There is no word limit or requirement but you should ensure that you are addressing each aspect of this assignment thoroughly and completely. Please refer to the rubric for the grading criteria.
The template on the last page already meets submission requirements, so you can just write-in your responses to different sections. Your responses should be substantive and include an explanation. Your responses should also be written in complete sentences and in paragraph form. It is required that you incorporate and cite references and sources to support your responses to each of the elements of this assignment. All references and parenthetical citations must adhere to APA formatting and must be included in a reference or work cited list. Failure to do so will constitute plagiarism and result in either a deduction of points or a failing grade for this assignment, to be decided at the discretion of the instructor. DO NOT include your name on the assignment. If possible, I encourage you to visit the writing center to ensure that you do quote and cite correctly according to APA style and to receive help in writing your paper to ensure that it is grammatically correct, cohesive and coherent. You may find these APA Guidelines helpful but I do caution against using citation engines or software as they do not always provide a correct citations.

Select a specific organization (e.g., team, league, athletic department, media group, event operations agency, etc.) and position in the sport industry with which you might be interested in working. Be sure to include the following information on your sport industry organization or business:
Explain and detail your interest in the selected organization/business and position
Why does this position and industry segment interest you as a potential career?
Explain and detail the particular organization or business at/in which you are interested in working (your response should address each of the items listed)
Mission and purpose of the organization or business
Summary of goods and services provided
Targeted consumers and/or clients
Information regarding the organization’s operating budget, revenues, and expenses
Summary of major accomplishments
In selecting a career position, discuss the above bullet points concerning the selected organization/industry in which that position exists.
Conduct a brief SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats)*
This should be introspective analysis of SWOTs as they relate to the selected organization or position.
At least four (4) bullet points for category of the SWOT analysis, including a description or summary of each of those points. Student should also incorporate outside sources to provide more explanation and examples of the points made.
*A SWOT analysis requires sport managers to identify and assess the strengths and weaknesses of an organization and the opportunities and threats to the organization. When considering the strengths and weaknesses of an organization this does require an internal look at the organization while the opportunities and threats may include external factors that are out of the control of the organization. The SWOT analysis should also explain the impact of each factor of the analysis on the selected position.
