My name is Bryant last name, I live in Pinehurst, North Carolina. I am applying to University. I want to major in business and work with the ROTC, Both of my parents are in the military. (Airforce) My parent’s names are Kasie and Matt last name. My parents met in basic training. My mother is from the Philippines. Her family waited 22 years to be able to come to America. My mother will retire August of 2022. My dad will retire in 2024. I want to follow in my parent’s career path and serve America.
I am interested in pursing my business degree so it will help me become proficient in becoming a better entrepreneur. In my economics class in high school we had competitions on who would profit the most in the stock market. After the competition I placed in the top 10 in my class for making the most profit. My football team would have value 5 cards to sell, I always sold in excess of 30. When I am done with homework and football practice I work on my business of selling sports cards and other products for extra money. I know having a business degree will help me in everyday life, and in my second career after retiring from the military.
While in high school I volunteered for different activities. I did volunteer work at our local fair every year. I would also volunteer to clean the locker room after practice and games. During my free time class I did the laundry. I have also been very active with sports and have gone to many football camps in the United States. I attended 6 football camps at the University of Alabama. I can remember Nick Saban talked about the process, “Becoming a champion is not an easy process ” it is done by focusing on what it takes to get there and not on getting there.
I have been blessed with wonderful role models in my life. My mother who came to America, joined the military and became a US citizen. She has taught me this country has so many opportunities, and if you work hard you can achieve anything you want. My dad who is a Special Forces operator, has had to be away from home and family more times than I would like to count, to help others and serve our country has set a high bar for me to follow in my life. My parents have been deployed many times, which has enabled me to become a very independent person. I would be honored and grateful if you would consider my application to University I will promise you I will work hard to be a stellar student.
