Recently, drought in the West coast affects our economy, including our agricultural industries. California, for example has supplied a lot of agricultural products for the entire US. That is where our food comes from. After watching the videos, you should find multifaceted issues of drought, people dig deeper to find water and start depleting reservoirs, Contaminated water is another issue. Could building more dams become a solution? You see a couple of short-term solutions so people in the West Coast could get water. Who should get water the most? Agricultural industries? Rural communities? What do you think of farmers switching their types of crops? What do you think the sustainable solutions for the West Coast communities after you learn this week’s chapters?
