Writing style criteria for BA 454:
Use the APA headings provided in the assigned format, which can be found in your syllabus. (The syllabus was uploaded as an Announcement in your Canvas course shell.) Use ONLY the headings provided and EXACTLY the headings provided.
No running head
APA 7th edition format required
Double space all paragraphs; double space between headings and paragraphs
Indent all paragraphs
Times New Roman font – 12 point
Numbers less than 10 should be spelled out unless part of a direct quote
All direct quotes should be indicated by quotation marks and citation
All paraphrased work should be cited
Abbreviations must be defined first, then used. Example: United States (US) has…..then you may use US for the remainder of the paper.
In-text citations should lead to Reference page; reference page should lead to source
Citations MUST be provided to support facts. Failure to do so going forward will result in a grade of zero.
Reference page should begin on the last separate page of your paper and should have the heading References in the center
References on the Reference page should be single spaced and double space between different references.
Alphabetize your reference list
Direct quotes greater than 40 words should be indicated by single spacing
Write in third person only
When an in-text citation is provided at the end of a sentence, the period follows the citation; not the last word in the sentence.
Anything ‘pedia’ is NOT a valid reference: Wikipedia, Investopedia, etc.
