I feel with the current world of technology that some of the personal skills people used to have with others have been lost. I agree with Portolese that the better one’s ability to relate to others, the more likely they are to grow both professionally and personally. I have found in my workplace that being able to work as a team is one of the biggest reasons people need to learn human relations skills. Another reason to have good human relation skills would be that it can reduce conflict in the workplace, thereby making the workplace more productive. I feel with skills that help me to be able to work with others will make me more likely to succeed in my career and life.Provide at least one example as to why companies value good human relations skills:Portolese stated that organizational structures refer to the way a company arranges people, jobs, and communications so that work can be performed. Teams are used to accomplish company goals. In a job people depend on others for various tasks. If co-workers cannot get along or resolve conflicts the organization as a whole will be less productive, this could affect profitability. Human relation skills are so important to a company and are critical for maintaining a positive work environment. Another skill employers seek is loyalty and a trustworthy employee.
